Post-Show Report: Labelexpo Europe
Labelexpo PC Industries had a great experience in Brussels. Our Guardian Off Line Proofing and 100% Inspection Systems drew the most interest, and we closed the show with several orders and quite a few great sales leads. We also had the opportunity to meet with prospective agents interested in helping us broaden our market. We were excited to see such a great turnout!

Labelexpo boasted 28,636 visitors this year from 118 countries, making this their biggest show yet. We were honored to be one of the 550 exhibitors to take part in this record-breaking event. We would like to thank everyone who stopped by to meet to us and express interest in the products and features that we debuted at Labelexpo. You made Labelexpo Europe 2011 a success for PC Industries, and we’re already looking forward to the next Labelexpo trade show!

October’s InfoByte

Each month we present a new bit of trivia that we call an InfoByte. You can check out previous InfoBytes in our newsletter archive.

This month’s InfoByte is all about Belgium.

The Atomium: The centerpiece for the 1958 World Fair of Brussles, or Expo ’58, the Atomium is a 102 meter tall landmark that represents an iron crystal, magnified 165 billion times. Its engineer, Andre Waterkeyn, intended it as a symbol of the peaceful use of atomic energy. Though it was not intended to last past the Expo, its great reception secured its spot as one Belgium’s best known landmark. It currently houses a permanent exhibition dedicated to Expo ’58, rotating science themed exhibitions, and in the top-most ofs the monument’s 9 spheres, a panoramic view of Belgium. Learn more at Atomium’s Official Website.

Belgian Chocolate: Chocolate has been in Europe since it was brought over from America by Don Cortes in 1528. Belgium, however, was not recognized as a country until 1839. How did they become the authority on chocolate is so little time? In 1908, the Belgian king Leopold II gained possession of the Congo Free State (which became known as Belgian Congo until 1960). This gave the country nearly unlimited access to cocoa trees. Today, many Belgian chocolate makers still make their chocolates by hand.
