Our History

Founded in 1975 as Panels and Controls Corporation, the company manufactured electric and electronic press controls for many of the top press manufacturers.

In 1987, the company decided to sell their products directly to printers as PC Industries. At that time the company offered their line of register controls, strobe lights and other electronic press equipment.

In 1992 the company introduced the Graphic-Vision® line of video web inspection systems, focusing primarily on reasonably priced, easy to use systems with industrial reliability.

In 1996, the company introduced the Code-Tracker® ANSI Bar code Verifier to give printers the ability to inspect bar code quality on press. In 1998, the company introduced the Viper Printing Vision System, which provides machine vision based tools to address quality issues in printing, converting and packaging.

In 2001, the company introduced more innovative products, such as the RX100 low cost digital inspection system and the MLS400 which allows standard presses to perform advanced register control.

In 2002 through 2003, PC Industries has introduced five new products. The CT200 and CT300 models are low cost bar code inspection systems. The RX300 is a new low cost defect detection system and the LM200 is a PC-based Repeat Length Measurement System. Click on the PRODUCTS PAGE for more information.

In 2006 and 2007, PCI introudced 2 new powerful and exciting systems to provide more options for print quality verification. The Guardian OLP can compare a PDF to scanned printing to verify correct copy content. The Guardian PQV can inspect 100% print quality inspection on high-speed moving webs.
